Hard Target!
« on: May 27, 2007, 10:49:24 pm »

Somehow we ended up watching this movie on our last development trip. (John Woo + Van Damme!)

But the three of us hadn't heard of it before. Has anyone else here seen it? ;)

Interesting Stomp Tokyo review of the "director's cut"

"The thugs in all John Woo films seem to have decentralized vital organ systems, so shooting them in the chests just won't kill them. In Hard Target, it seems that they will only die if Van Damme kicks them in the face a coulple of times, either before or after shooting them several times in the chest."

Yes, that is exactly the one.  And the best part is that that's supposed to be the romantic scene in the movie!

Romantic scene? Kind of like the one where Walker texas ranger asks a girl to get engaged with him, and when they hug he gets shot in the back?

Chuck norris = Epic

Now Chuck Norris + Van Damme = Galactic implosion of sheer awesomeness.

I'm incredibly upset that I can't find Van Damme's appearance on Cribs anywhere :( :( :(. Dude has a room that is just a giant circular bed. It's the most incredibly, awe-inspiringly sleazy thing I've ever seen.

Chuck Norris is a pansy. His greatest contribution to popular culture has been to get absolutely schooled by Bruce Lee in every film they appeared in together. I hate Chuck Norris, and his stupid beardy face. HAAAAAATE.

Yeah, well, I definitely don't hate him, but I definitely do not like him either. His movies are so ... PC.  ...yugh!!

I would dearly love to see what version of The Delta Force you watched, because the one I saw might as well have been in the Jingoism section at Blockbuster.

Yeah, but then again, I'm not sure how many other movies starring Chuck are that patriotic and have that flavor of Jingoism to it. I think I mainly based my previous comment on his TV series Walker Texas Ranger I guess. Yugh yugh yugh!!  :'(

Without wanting to scare anyone, I guess, I'm simply the kind of guy that favors Chucky over Chuck if you see what I mean.  ;D
