it's definitely reminiscent of Geiger, as is all biological architecture. anyone who creates in that vein owes a page to him for sure. but it's like an Eskimo and snow, there are lots of different kinds. Jules Verne, Wild Wild West and Hellboy are all under the steampunk umbrella but one would protest the differences. the geek in me differentiates for bio-mechanical genre driven imagery as well

I found Mithalis and the Body to be more of a viral bio-mass run amok, similar to Akira and the above mentioned Morbis Gravis. on the other end of the spectrum you have a more mechanical viral mess seen in
Frank Miller's Ronin or Superman 3. Geiger and
Gaudi fall sort of in the middle.
