Help I'm stuck on a Boss. :( [Spoilers]

I'm so sorry but I don't know where else to start this. I could on the gameplay section but I don't want the game to be spoiled (please don't get mad at me  )

I'm stuck on this boss.



I've tried shooting it like shown, but after an eternity he still won't die and I end up dieing.

Then I tried the beast form and biting the eye along with the fish but he still doesn't work.

Am I missing a step here?

Yeah I know you attack the eye, but even then not much happens it doesn't die. Is it just that it takes that long to kill him and he's that hard?

Well, shoot through the opening in the barrier as long as you have enough health and if you need some health, switch to Beast form and devour the little jellies. There should be enough to get full health. Repeat this a few times. Wasn't that hard if I remember it right.

If he's really too tough - well, it is an optional boss. You don't have to kill him to beat the game (even if it's very useful).

I think you only get a treasure from there, so it's not THAT needed, but yeah, I think a good tip would be being in beast the whole time while letting your pet attack, will takes AGES, but it will work.
You could just also rush the eye by eating food that increase the power of your energy form.
