A little bit annoyed...
« on: January 09, 2008, 03:08:44 am »
Well before i bought this game i played the demo (as many of you would) I LOVED the music and voice acting...

But to my horror, my sound card failed! I decided that the subtitles would have to do. But fate had a mean twist, THE SUBTITLES FAILED TO WORK!

So i played through, hoping for the subtitles to work...but they never did, i have no clue as to the plot now =(

Hmm... the subtitles won't work if the voice files aren't being processed.

What happened to your sound card? It used to work but now it doesn't?

Yeah, recently i had to format the computer...*cough* and up until recently the soundcard has worked, i believe its the drivers as the computer isnt even noticing the sound card.

It is a large let down as i just finished the game expecting a massive awesome subtitle cresendo but there was nothing.

Without sound you'd miss out on a lot of things. (some scenes would just be skipped because there was no audio to wait for)

Are you using onboard sound? Virtually every motherboard with onboard sound released in the past few years or so will sport a "HD"/"Hi-Def" chipset. There's a hotfix you need to install for Windows to recognise such onboard sound devices. I'll happily run you through the process. :)
