Puzzle near the crab boss

I've beaten the crab boss and gotten the armor, I have the beast and energy forms, and I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the floating, color changing bulbs. There was a series of symbols corresponding to notes Naija can sing, though when I try them, nothing happens.

Those are just for decoration...you might even be able to snag some for your home cave if you look hard enough...it can be easy to miss.
