Turn gear 2 to raise the water level even higher, then swim up the right corridor until you reach the surface and walljump up from there.
As soon as you are in the room with the gears hop onto one and make your way to the upper horizontal corridor into the right room, and into the water bubble (happy gear jumping!)
The part with the gears could turn out to be tedious, depending on your jumping skill
If you fall to the ground in the right room, you can simply jump onto the lower fast turning gear and get up again from there.
Try not to fall through the right vertical corridor (the short one just above the entrance to the sun worm cave), if you do, you have to start over.
(Maybe not, if a +speed soup & beast form is enough to get up... not sure. I always did it the "normal" way.)
