Could we get some updates on progress?
« on: November 12, 2008, 03:21:14 pm »
I dunno how long it's been, I just know the month keep going by, and we keep waiting for the patch which always seems to be nearly complete... Whats the current outlook for it? I love this game, and really wanna play it again with the new patch, I also want to get my hands on the OST! So, any info?

Has beta testing started yet with the testers who signed up? I'm sure it must be in some workable state by now! lets hear the details :P

The mac version is likely to get released in the end of next week and the new windows patch will prolly need 1-3 weeks more.
The soundtrack release will be a christmas present for us. ;) (Okay, I don't know about this one, but the rest should be correct.)

The big hold up has been finishing the Mac version, which has to happen before the Windows beta + other stuff. Nearly there!

Some bad news: yesterday my windows machine got corrupted, so I'm going to try to back up as much as I can from it... Hopefully I don't lose any important Aquaria-related files...  :(

ooh damn <_< hope you manage to recover everything important. My second HDD died in my PC a while back, 500GB of stuff lost :( I still got that drive in my PC, just unplugged... maybe I should plug it back in and see if it's heled itself, my Wiimote did that once :O

Ouch Alec, don't you have a back up drive that is completely divorced from the internet and also all of it burnt onto cds? Or isn't that possible yet?
I do hope it's all ok that is a hell of a lot of work and heartache there  :o :-*

I have a 1TB external hard drive, but I don't have regularly scheduled backups or anything.

Hopefully the files that are corrupted on my main HD are not the really important ones.

good luck in your recovery! I find that Stellar Phoenix software is extremely good at recovering lost data, even after a format!

Ouch. Nasty luck  :-\. for all of us I had a similar incident in 6th grade where the computer's hard drive was corrupted (probably because of too many times I held down the power button)

I second that because the other option just doesn't bear thinking about  :o  ::)
