getting killed before picking up pearl in energy temple

I simply can't seem to handle the energy god. I know I'm supposed to push it back with energy attacks so that I can pick up the pearl. But I don't even get that far. The moment I get near and start firering the creature moves towards me and I have to retreat to keep out of harms way. I've tried to move away as soon as the god is activated and I've tried blasting it as soon as possible, but I can't really get any of it to work.

I'd be happy for any advice on how to handle it?

Hammer right click. There isn't anything else to this part of the battle, I'm afraid.

Either you just can't click fast enough (I'd say 2 shots a second would be about right?) or your mouse is malfunctioning.

Just what I needed to hear I've been charging the shot - which takes much too long time - because I thought that would be the most effective. I've mainly used the charged shots and nearly forgotten that I could just click away. Cheers!

Naw, see that he flashes yellow? That means you aren't doing any damage anyway. When you aren't doing damage you don't need to worry about whichever is most effective, you just need to hit them a lot (or figure out another way of doing it).

I had a bit of a hard time here too at first. Then I realized you don't *have* to be right on top of the pearl before using bind - you can actually be a fair way away from it, play the song and still pick it up.  Once I worked this out, it became much easier.

My problem is *after* picking up the pearl and taking it back to the socket, I can't get Naija to kick-swim back and forth without wasting time doing somersaults, and so she takes too many hits.

Well that's what save points are for. You'll learn how to control her eventually, it's a case of having to if you got to the boss without doing it, haha  .

Just don't dart/charge as much. Double click in the direction you want to go to charge, then just hold the mouse button down to continue to swim at top speed. The boss is just not that fast, you don't need to repeatedly charge.

Eh, for some reason this boss went easily with me, I reconised the lazers things from before, I saw a socket and not short afteer i saw a half broken pearl.
And even though those are 3 things. 1+1=2. 
Even though I did thought that I only had one chance cause the pearl was half broken and would break entirely after using it once.

After getting that little tip about not using charged shots but just shooting away I've been fine It did take some tries for me to off the energy god, but it just takes some patience and timing. I'm really not a twitchy player so if I can do it, I'm sure anyone can

Try swimming with her through holding the mouse button. This way swimming is not that fast but more precise.
