Random Crashes
« on: March 01, 2009, 12:38:20 am »
Loving the game.

But Aquaria has started to hang on me at random times, then kick me back to my desktop. I started to try and find out what I was doing at the time (combat, combination of key presses, form changing etc.) but it happens randomly. It's happened in the recipe menu, during combat, just swimming.... even when I went afk, I came back to find it crashed.

I've had a browse and found that any other crash related topics to be quite specific to an action.

It's upsetting because I have to really take care of saving in order to progress.

My PC is:
Processor: Intel Quad Q6600,
Memory: 3GB
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 8500 GT
Running Windows Vista (32bit)

I've got Aquaia on Steam so I'm running ver 1.1.2

Please let me know what I have to do next in order to find out what the problem is.

Thanks

UK Aquaria fan,
Onyx

Posting your log file may also help.

Lot's of nil values, don't know if that's correct.
I'd suggest reinstalling (if you hadn't already), even though I have no clue if it would fix it.
It's also weird it crashed after the Hearty Soup, maybe something is missing there.

Did you by any chance notice something when it crashes? Is it at certain times, is it indeed when you get such recipe, are you doing something specific?

Ok, I 've fugure out the error: it's Nvidia OpenGL error (error code 13, dunno why it is not logged). Looks like it is not a driver crash, but application crash. Nvidia driver still func. correctly.

P.S. I have installed latest drivers for my GTX260.
P.P.S. And yes, I don't have any problems with other OGL apps at all.
