Apple Mighty Mouse
« on: January 01, 2009, 09:18:21 am »
Hi. I haven't bought the game yet but I'm loving the demo. I have a question before I commit. I'm using XP on my iMac to play this, and I have an Apple Mighty Mouse. It has 2 buttons, but you can't use them both at the same time. To exit the Energy mode (?) you are supposed to click both buttons. I can't. Is there a way around this? I'm not gonna buy a game that requires me to buy a new mouse too.

I did a search, but couldn't find anything related to this in the forums.

Thanks.
I still love the demo, though.

Check the key settings: You can use x to 'revert' :)

Thanks. I checked the Key Config, but I was just trying to push L-Ctrl and Space instead. I didn't notice revert.

Cheers! ;D

And you can use the numbers for switching the forms. :)

I've always used the numbers for switching forms. Singing them is just way to time consuming. It is an awesome effect though. Of course it is needed for those songs that aren't for changing forms or for adding the shield ability to yourself.

You can actually use nine and zero to use the bind and shield spells.

It's especially valuable in the period after finding the bind spell and before attaining the energy form - makes tossing rocks around much easier.  :)

That's such a short time frame in the game, in the very beginning... I don't see how it's MORE beneficial then than it is later. I used it a lot more later with the bind key.... then again I suppose that's also because at that point I didn't realize you could use the keyboard to do it.. and instead every time I was using the mouse to sing the bind song. But, like I said, it was such a short period of the game that I don't think it really mattered much. I never felt the need to rush the song out before something got to me.

I don't like to use the numbers to switch forms, it takes away from the game imho. I like using Naija as the hub between forms, the intermediary and in the heat of battle I like the *whump* of switching back to her and the frantic singing to switch to energy, beast, nature or whatever is needed. the tones of her form switching enhance the the background music and the energy blasts staccato nicely to  the songs of battle.

I've only used number switching during Octopus prime and bubble jumping, places that are a freaking pain or need precision that I don't want to botch up.
