I must find this to compare it with what I remember of the one that I played, thank you Alec If it's still available that is?
I do have the cd for the first one but I haven't played it for ages.

Yes loosing all your files is a real bummer, that did happen to me once and if anyone say's that it's never happened to them then they are damn lucky or they haven't been using the internet or computers for very long..

Unfortunately the service for the online download no longer is valid. The website is still up, but the link to purchase the game says: "The system cannot find the file specified. "

:/ I'm severely bummed. As I have been looking for this for a long time.

Well they are working on bringing the online Uru back so they might even do a return to Myst sometime you never know? There are a lot of Myst players out there who have never lost their love of the first games
