Squid fight help

Hi! I recently bought Aquaria and was truly amazed at how well this game was made. However, after defeating the "god of he Krollies" and escaping, I began to explore the only possible path I could find, which led me to a giant squid thing boss. I've been trying to attack him in Najia's dark form, but it didn't work. I then got the idea to maybe use the bind song on him, but it didn't work, either. Is this guy just really hard to beat, or is there a way to beat im which I DIDN'T use?

You mean the Nautilus prime? A big one with a lot of small ones?
She's tough, try harder.

I'd rather but it as a very big shrimp then a squid, but ok.

Anyway, only damagable part of that "squid" is the entrance of it's shell, you just need to button smash while you survive.

The boss is optional even though you do get something from defeating it.

Even though that's not what you need to continue, on the right of your home waters is an entrance with a socket for a pearl, the pearl is in the cave below it, us that to continue and go to the next area. Try to use your map alot.

There are videos on youtube of the Nautilus Prime fight.  However, the strategy boils down to this:  First bind the large rock at the bottom of the fight area, then swim in circles around the boss, trying to keep the tiny nautiluses behind you so the rock can take them out, then fire using energy form (you can still bind the rock while in energy form) and be sure to hit her in the tentacled section, her shell is invulnerable.
