It doesn't work in my version worst luck, I have to play it straight and search to refill my larder

I never had want of food in Aquaria.  I explore every corner of every area and by the time I got to any difficult spots I had so much food I could use half of it and still have enough for the rest of the game.

I suppose that I am just mean with my stock then, I like to keep all foodstuffs at the limit so I can fall back on others when or if I run out of my fav.
