Follow this suggestion:

Make sure ALL of the map is revealed! When you enter an area, all map is gray at first. The more you explore, the more it gets revealed. Also don't forget to visit the small cracks (Fish Form). I know you need that for the Whale Song ;) (combined with Sun Form to light up the room)..

completed the game...
this is one kick ass game..

a heart felt WOW and amazement and congratulations to the makers of this game..
it is simply damn cool..

but one last question..

*possible spoilers below guys so if you dun want curiosity spoiled, dun read further below*

question..
I look at my treasure page and seems like I missed a lot of stuff left undiscovered.. I am pretty sure I explored all
the underwater areas (plus the small cracks my fishy form can get through) so I am pretty sure the ones I left out is the open air part in the Veil section.. seems to me on the map tat i missed out those parts with caves and stuff above water..

is there a way to explore those places above water?

There is only one treasure above the water and that's in a water bubble, being the urchin costume.

Further, you just have to search really well, some things are barely even seen on the minimap and others are just laying blunt on the floor blending in with the rest.

If you really can't find all treasures check the Aquaria Wiki or ask someone on the IRC, most know.

Yeah, the little Forest Walker Baby for example took me ages... It is in the Kelp Forest Map with the turtle (not the simon says one), try to find it if you haven't already. ;)

Ha! My last treasure was the banner in the Mithalas castle. I like, went there 5 times (in the upper and lower rooms), and all the 5 times I did NOT see it, but that must be cause I'm colourblind. It really sucks sometimes.

Uhm, I think if you completed the game that you should have EVERY form.
There are 8, that's your normal shape included.

And as for searching the treasures. Just go explore to every gray area on your map, besides in the sky of The Veil.

the last 2 treasures for me were oddly enough real early ones, the energy form boss tooth and the urchin seed near the song cave.  I guess that I had totally spaced on the tooth and did not do a thorough inspection whatsoever ( even though I went back there twice ) and just plum forgot about the big urchin.  a few of the treasures were obviously well placed, like the starfish and the jelly egg, you go through those areas so quick that it's very easy to miss them.  I didn't get the Mithalis banner either till pretty late. all in all the treasures were a great easter egg hunt in the game, and helped you pace the percentage of how far through you were.
Ellie: Are they from the future too?
Sawyer: You told her?

The starfish took me forever to find.  It was in plain sight, but I just never saw it down there.  I rushed through that area b/c the real starfish were hard.  As for the Jelly Egg, I got that one right off the bat, can't say why.  The tooh gave me real trouble too.  I didn't realize I'd missed it.  Another one was the blue Mathalas banner.  It blended in so well that I didn't think it was a treasure.
