Open Waters 1 - what's this creature? (spoilers?)

In the area, which has a fish passage leading to it and is connected to Kelp Forest, there is some immortal black creature patrolling some island. Am I missing something? It seems to be unique...

Hey,
it IS unique, but not immortal, it just needs a lot of hits. The thing he drops may be worth it... ;)

Thanks, I've killed it. Anyway, I killed it with nature plants, so it seems to me, that it is rather immune to energy shots...

huh, I thought it was immortal too. unleashed a garden of pain on it and volleys of nrgy blasts. however, I remember unclearly the first time I was 'battling' it that it seemed to have caught on fire, should have taken a screen of that.

btw, you should eat something, your health is a bit low ;)

I saw that creature too: what does it drop? The reason I'm asking is partly because I'm really hungry.  >:D

I've killed it with energy shots before, so it's not immune to them. I haven't tried nature form, though.

No it's not imune but boy has it got a thick shell  :o it took 4 minutes from me to kill it the only time I tried, though I didn't try increasing my firepower, I just thought that a waste of the energy food. I might try nature shots next time though :)
