Vertical Lines
« on: December 22, 2007, 11:37:26 am »
I was not sure where to post this as this is my first time on the forum.

Oh well, more frustration
I decided to download Aquaria for my daughters. My daughters are only 6 and 8. As a result of this, I have not installed a graphics card in their computer. I just resorted to the onboard graphics chip ( In this case, S3 UniChrome Pro IGP )
This works well with ALL the games that they play at the moment.

Unfortunately, Aquaria does not like this chipset. I have tried all configurations and settings ingame without any luck.
Thoughout the game we just get these vertical lines.  I KNOW it is because of the inbuilt graphics chip.

Is there anything else I can try BEFORE resorting to buying a graphics card ??

Update the drivers, but that's about it, unfortunately.

Aquaria is quite graphically intensive, especially for a 2d game. It would make sense that an older intergrated card would have a hard time handling it.

Hopefully you can find some drivers there.

I FIXED IT !!!!!

How many times do we tell people to update their drivers, and then forget to do it ourselves

THANK YOU dhakkel

Excellent, glad to hear it works! Does it run well?
