Possible bug with phirana pet?

I don't know whether this is a bug or normal, but when I use the phirana pet, I've noticed something wierd. Sometimes when something the phirana is attacking and gets defeated, somehow it activates an animation showing me eating the creature, even if I'm not in beast form. This happens with any form seemingly and I'm not sure if the effects transfer over to beast form or not, but I'm thinking it actually does because I have gotten beast form shots from stuff that I didn't actually eat myself in beast form, but the phirana 'ate'.

This doesn't happen every time a creature is defeated, but it happens quite often.

I would have put this in support, but I have no idea whether this is normal or not, and I haven't heard it bieng mentioned.

It's not YOU who eat it, it's the Piranha.

Actually it IS kinda a bug, the piranha eats, but it shows as if YOU are eating it, maybe something for Alec to fix.

Actually, the intended effect is that the piranha eats it for you, but it ends up in your stomach. (like remote beast form) I think its because Naija and the pet have some kind of magical link.

Anyways, it made sense to me somehow.

Funny, I was sure it was a bug too.  Another odd behavior with that pet, it seems to latch on to medium sized enemies from 8 ft away sometimes.  So then it is floating 8 ft from its prey without moving (relative to prey).

Maybe it has something to do with the relative distance from the center of the enemy? Because it generally goes right to the middle of whatever it's attacking, or tries to get to the middle.
