Anyway, seeing we better not waste this search result, here's a Straight answer.

SPOILER

You have these little creature bugs, on the left side of the top Maze where you get the clay, they also come out of the golem's head everynow and then. You eat those with beast form and shoot them at the mother, the mother looses focus and you can attack the Golem, the mother recovers and repeat the process. After a while they go all in supermode, which you then only have to shoot the golem. You notice when this is when the mother starts shooting you, I believe.

And they turn blinding red with rage and everything starts coming at you faster.  That's a tiny tip off too.

The music also picks up considerably like it does for all the other bosses.  >_>

Unless you play with the volume off.  In which, shame on you!

I think I said it in another topic, but I never really notice the music. I'd propably notice when playing without notice it, I'd notice when the music isn't pretty and the music propably even affects my gameplay, but I'll never ever be like "Oooh, this music is nice" let me listen to it for a while. I just play the game and the music plays with it.
