Widescreen support.
« on: December 13, 2007, 07:19:30 am »
Hi there,

I just downloaded the demo and started playing it. While I find the game quite enjoyable I would like to suggest just one minor niggle.

Is it possible to get some widescreen support happening. I would purchase this game in an instant were it to have widescreen support. At present I will more than likely get the full version, however it may not be right away. I'm using a 22 inch monitor that displays at 1680x1050.

Is there any way that widescreen support could be done?

There are numerous topics about this already.  Try searching, since most of them have information on how to change resolutions using the game's .ini file, and several also have confirmation from Bit Blot that yes, widescreen support will happen, it just hasn't happened *yet*.

Yay I got the game and love it, great job guys.  I found that 1920 by 1200 resolution works great even if there is no official widescreen support yet.

How did you do that?

I changed the resolution in the init CFG file for the game.  The top left hand numbers are the resolution.  Now keep in mind I think this is stretching the graphics not actually making it widescreen.  It still looks great though.

I have Widescreen, displaying in 1,440 x 900, but the game stretches itself across my screen intead of forcing itself to display in 4:3. What's up with that? ???

I think many widescreen LCD's have only one native resolution.  If it's the only resolution then anything 4:3 will be stretched.

Actually, no. My N64 emulator plays games in 4:3 by default. I need to change a setting if I want them to use the Widescreen. ???

The solution currently seems to be just playing in a window.
