Hello, all. And particularly Alec.
I've been thinking of this for a long time, and now it seems it is actually happening. Well, two things are. First, I'm getting married (not to anybody on this forum, no). Second, I want the DJ to play Aquaria music in the mix for the wedding reception.
Why do we think this makes sense? We're getting married . . . in an aquarium!
Yes, Arnassi statues will watch over the proceedings with a somber eye. The sculptor seems to have left off the limbs, but you can't have everything. For music, the Aquaria selection is planned as Light, Home, Technique, Mystery, Remains, Above, Moment, Sun Temple, Arnassi, Icy Waters, and Sunken City. These would be in amongst a bunch of other tunes with fades and such to keep it all sounding fresh.
So, Alec, how do you feel about this? Has anybody asked to use your music at a wedding before? And are you okay with this use? I can't see how you could possibly object (we bought the CD through the normal avenues, after all), but I definitely needed to post about this before doing it.
And there you go: take one emotional experience, use it to score another emotional experience, and tie it all together with "aqua" words. Symbolism!
I hope you are amused.
