[Updated] Aquaria Sheet Music Project: Sunken City
« on: July 28, 2010, 09:09:53 pm »
Here's another one that I've done, the "epic" song. Approximately 13 hours was used to finish this one. It is a relatively easy one.

Download:
PDF: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hx2e5jaxo8ewu7p/SunkenCity.pdf
MP3: http://www.mediafire.com/file/52x6z86ehqxbqe6/SunkenCity.mp3
MuseScore: http://www.mediafire.com/?1pbdgmrcqprgpwy
MIDI: http://www.mediafire.com/file/fv2aliw0l281n45/SunkenCity.mid
MusicXML: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ycc47n95zxd7dr0/SunkenCity.xml

[Updates:] I took out the flat in the key signature because it really didn't serve any purpose. Copyright notice is also tweaked.

I didn't add any dynamics, and don't plan on doing so in the immediate future.

About the MP3: Listening to the MIDI, you'll miss a lot of the instruments because those samples barely have volume when they are low. So I've also included a MP3 to show what it would sound like when I was working on it. My SoundFont is a quiet one, so you'll want to do some sort of amplification to the MP3. (I was too lazy to download Audacity and do it.)

The horn track is not verified. Also the last Tablas track was the best I could find for one of the drum samples. It sounds close in the MP3, but it won't be if you listen to the MIDI version.

Production notes: I usually use an equalizer to bring out single tracks from the song. However, because all of the instruments in this song are in the low range, and that the strings are so loud, it's nigh impossible to bring out any single track. <sigh>

Enjoy,
GMMan

Oooh, nice. I've always liked that theme, but never really listened to it as closely. I'd love to see a version of "Remains" but that might be a little more tricky. I'd be willing to buy some friggin sheet music, maybe a piano arrangement of some of the music, even if I'm not good at playing the piano.
