Li not reacting to me

I got Aquaria through the humble bundle and I have to say I really like it.

in my game, after aquiring most of the forms and Li, I went back to home waters to get the energy pet and some other thing I could not get before.
Afterwards I went into Naijas home and saved there. I then swam through the whole home of hers and when I left, Li was not with me when I arrived at the home waters map again. I didn't think anything of it at that time and continued. Some hours later I tried to summon Li by singing his song, but nothing happened.

[edit]just loaded from the second save and went back to Naijas home. Li is there, with his Helmet on, swimming back and forth near the sav crystal. I cannot interact with him in any way.[/edit]

You have to use bind song to remove the helmet again. Without helmet = Li comes with you. But if you don't want him, you can put him his helmet on in your home cave and he stays there.

Once you use the bind song to remove his helmet once, I thought you just right click (activate) him to get him back... o.o

Thought that too, but if he says that Li isn't reacting, I was quite sure that he tried right-clicking...

I feel dumb.
I tried everything, singing songs to him, shooting him, biting him, swimming circles around him.
I did not try to right click him and - oh wonder - it worked. Well, in my defense, it was 5 in the morning when I wrote that post.
Now I only wonder why he stayed at Naijas home. I don't remember rightclicking him. And I'm mad at him for not coming when I called him.
