linux - config file [SOLVED]
« on: May 08, 2010, 03:00:33 pm »
hey

when I try to unset fullscreen mode it asks me, if it should save this setting, but I can't click on yes. The mouse is trapped on the no.
I tried setting it in the usersettings.xml(in the game directory) too, but it has no effect, so the game still starts in full screen mode.

I can't play like this because I've got a wide screen resolution and it cuts off a part of the graphics.

Is there another config file?

My second problem (and maybe the cause of my problem with no being able to click on  yes)
it seems like it always steers in one direction.
I got the same problem in another game and fixed it by disabling joystick support in the game(I don't have anything like this plugged into my computer :) ).
But again setting it in the usersettings.xml doesn't fix it.

I bought the game just yesterday and I'm sooooo sad I can't play it :(

Ubuntu 10.4, 64 bit

- EDIT ->

Ok, figured it out :)
I searched for the folder ".aquaria" in my home directory but it was ".Aquaria".
In ~/.Aquaria/preferences was another usersettings.xml

My problems are solved and finally I could play aquaria... but now I have to work :(

Sweet. :)

Yeah, the usersettings.xml in the game's folder is a backup/default one I think. The one in preferences is what is actually used.
