If you're worried about losing the save files, you can back them up.

If you bought the game through Bit-Blot you can go through Plimus' customer login or PM/email us to get a new download link for the installer, or you can back up the installer that you used initially and save it for future use.

If you bought through Steam/Ambrosia, they have their own re-downloading options.

Nah, the most I'd lose permanently is video game saves. Pictures, music, etc can be restored.
