If you've followed the game at all, by now you surely know there are some server issues Stardock's experiencing that have pissed off a lot of people and made multiplayer fairly unreliable (at least for others -- myself, I've managed to complete games with a friend over dialup even though the game is supposed to require broadband), but... damn, what a game. I'm having tons of fun with it, even just in the single player. The connectivity issues are being worked on, and thankfully Stardock's very dedicated CEO is hanging out on the in-game IRC channel constantly giving everyone updates. I have little doubt that all will be running smoothly soon.
But yeah, what a game. I was really hoping it would turn out well, as I haven't really cared for any game Gas Powered Games has done since they formed and spat out
Dungeon Siege, but this one is quite good. Wait a week if you're concerned about connection problems, but if you don't mind playing single player until then or directly connecting with some friends, give the game a shot. I'm having a blast with it.
