Castlevania X
« on: March 26, 2009, 07:04:29 pm »
So a friend of mine brought this one out to my place, and I'd totally forgotten it even existed.  I'm not a hardcore Castlevania nut that plays every release obsessively, but I do really enjoy the games, and so I was hooked instantly.  He ended up getting me a used copy for my birthday.

I gotta' say, I'm having a metric crapton of fun with it.  There's lots of good stuff in the remake of Rondo of Blood alone, but then you get to unlock the original version of it, and also a PSP port of Symphony of the Night.  Amazo!

Need to replay that soon, actually.

I'm on a bit of a Castlevania kick because of this, now.  I started going back through Circle of the Moon since I never did properly finish any of the GBA games, and I picked up Portrait of Ruin with that special anniversary pack at a fairly high price.  I haven't gotten any of the DS ones yet, as it's only more recently that I finally acquired a DS.  Looking very forward to those.  They look great.

EDIT - Picked up Order of Ecclesia today.  Holy crap what a game.  I can't put it down.  It's so... pretty.  And kinda' Simon's Questy.
