Once upon a time...
« on: December 28, 2008, 02:39:55 pm »
...there were two great game developers who shared a forum. It came a point when most members of their subforums had grown apart and then one of them decided to make his own forum. After some time only one member was left who was visiting both forums. This member was me.
The old forum got replaced by a new one and by an even newer one as time went by and the dev made a new game and company with its own forum. This company was Bit Blot, the dev was Derek and the forum I'm talking aobut is of course this one.
But, you ask, who was the other dev and what happened there?
Well, the other dev was Johan, his company is called FreeLunchDesign and you may have heard of his greatest hit Icy Tower.
I'm telling you this, because in the last month he released some cool new games, one to download, two flash and I wanted to share them with you. :)

Harold's Hills
Quote
Christmas is since long over but Santa has done a really sloppy job and almost none of the Christmas gifts have reached their destination. Instead they're lying scattered all over the place. It's now up to Harold the Homeboy and his old toboggan to tidy up the mess before all the little children start crying! As usual, Harold wants to do a really fancy job and rack up some great points to impress his friends.

Partake in the craziest toboggan riding yet! Multiple highscore lists and lots of secrets will keep you occupied for a long long time.

Harold's Tower Blast
Quote
Another day, another tower. This time Harold has found a new tower to jump around in. Help Harold by aiming him in the right direction and watch him do his best catching coins and stars.
This game has three modes: challenge, puzzle and survival. Be sure to check them all out!

Crappy New Year
Quote
It's New Year's Eve and the fireworks are about to start. Too bad you can't enjoy them since you're hanging out right in the middle of the show!

-----------------------------------------

Have fun! :)

I couldn't get the hang of Tower blast but I really liked Crappy New Yeareven though I only managed a poor 2:57 minutes avoiding the fireworks :)

I'm not downloading anything at the monent Xiagan so I haven't tried the Sledging game but that sounds good also :D

Crappy New Years was pretty addicting. Scored 19th place on the list on the first try. :) Score: 1012

Wow. Crappy New Year really is addicting. I managed about 400 on my third try.  ::) It's a very polished game (especially for a Flash version).

Polished indeed, but I could see it getting old real quick. I knew about the Icy Tower game years ago, but when I tried the new one, I wasn't much of a fan. Definitely didn't like it nearly as much as the original.
