I finished Aquaria.

This is one of those games where I felt I was apart of something special just by playing it.  For sure I'd place this on my top 10 favorite video games.  After playing the demo I thought that maybe I would get lost too much and get frustrated and quit.  But as I got the ball rolling the exploration aspect of the game hooked me.  the few times I did get lost I explored finding treasures, memories, recipes, and all sorts of things.  So even though I got lost a few times, and even frustrated, the game kept me hooked and I was still having fun.  Aquaria was an incredible experience, and I eagerly await Marian.

As for now I have a few other games to play, but I'll have to get around to spelunky.  It got free indie of the week at bytejacker.com, which is cool to see.  Oh and you guy smight find it interesting, while  playing Aquaria I was also playing Okami.  Eventually I stop playing Okami in favor of Aquaria, if that doesn't speak volumes about my love for Aquaria I don't know what will.  Now I must get back to playing Okami.

Man, that's weird. I just got done playing through Okami a few weeks ago. Fortunately I didn't play Aquaria until after I had finished Okami; otherwise I might have stopped playing it just like you.

I think the thing that's impressed me most about Aquaria is reading some of the earlier things written about it and seeing that any issues people had with it basically don't exist anymore. Alec didn't need to do that-- I'm sure the game was good even without the tweaking and improvements here and there.  But the extra bit of polish he added is something I certainly appreciate.
