aqua games
« on: December 05, 2008, 11:21:35 pm »
Ive 'just found these 2 sweet games, the first is a small and involves a squid who you move using the mouse in just the same way as you move Naija, only from a distance.  ;) The further away from it your curser the faster it moves, the bigger it's ink cloud, and the more plankton it captures.

The second one 'Fatcat' is from Nitrone and even though I love the look and feel of it, I just can't handle the controls, but I have a feeling that if I could then I would love it..  :(
The artwork in both games is wonderful, but while 'Squiggle' is calming, 'Fatcat' looks as if it's far from that with a very powerful 'belch' weapon from the 'Fatcat' of the title.  ;D

Fatcat is an awesome game - I had no problem with the controls but a good mouse and the dragging ability of the owl are extremely vital to efficient movement. It's all very cool, but I often forgot the cat and accidentally killed him with a block.  >:(:D

Squiggle Squid indeed, very sweet. I found that spamming the left mouse button was enough to rack up a huge combo count.

It's a very well designed website - I especially like the Grow collection. The spoiler-tagged walk-throughs were vital to completing them.

fatcat is awesome! when I have more time & patience I will try and play it all the way through, just got to the first boss. I wanted to like squiggle squid more but it seemed to be going nowhere slow, like a instruction level for insaniquarium.

grow games are pure and perfect, I've enjoyed seeing the line grow over the years.
Ellie: Are they from the future too?
Sawyer: You told her?

I enjoyed Squiggle for a while but like you said it's loses something after a few levels, it could do with him gaining more skills don't you agree :D
