Haha, just found it a few days ago - you're right, it is extremely addicting.  ;D Think of it as a strategy-centered version of a Matrix-style videogame. It has some of the best physics I've seen in a free game. A definite must-see.

If you faint at the sight of blood, then this game is not for you. If you love watching buckets of blood and gore spray everywhere and being able to wrench off any body part then this is the game for you. XD

In other words, this is the game for the smart serial killer.

It's not as gruesome in practice as it is on paper. The movement stops and starts, with each player attempting to counteract the moves they see coming at the end of each turn. The replay is the only truly gruesome section, because it is not filtered through fragmented actions. It's not a particularly artistic game, but serves to demonstrate an amazing physics engine for a free game.

The blood patterns can get preety artistic, also, if you want high quality, turn shaders and smoothing and all the stuff in that area on, it looks really cool.

The movements are beautiful and smooth with very realistic poses, but the blood judt doesn't worry me at all because of the totally unreal figures that look more like automatons than people. So if it weren't for the colour of the liquid we would never associate it with the lose of mortal life force.

By the way the sight of blood long since ceased to bother me, I just don't like too much violence where it's not needed, this is a game about fighting so some blood is important or it loses belief and excitement.

This game is weirdly addictive, like Chibi said.  I totally suck at it, but it's amazingly fun even just getting your guy to crumple into a ball in hilarious ways.  I've managed a few good fights, but mostly I spring off in weird directions.  I haven't figured out how to get jumping to work consistently.  I also managed a great move where I headbutted the guy in his chest and sent him sprawling, but the game called him the winner because I guess I took more damage than he did in the process, haha.

Walking is near impossible to do with more than 1 turnframe, jumping, i usually relax all joints and space 3 times, then extend hips, legs, and feet, raise shoulders, and grabby hands.

Unfortunately, intermediate players will have you by the throat in the second turn. To really succeed, you need to lure the opponent into an offensive move, and set up a trap for them (e.g. contracting knees and extending them into a kick once the enemy takes the bait).

[EDIT] But in single player, Uke (the bot) is all yours.
