I was riding on the back of that whale-like thing singing randomly when it must have wandered to the zone exit and I got pushed into Mathalas. Except I was in spirit mode when I appeared in the Mathalas. I went back into open waters and naija was invisible. Li and my pet followed me normally. Every song hotkey just came out as bind or spirit song. And I could only go so far before I was warped back to the entrance, like I was in spirit mode. I could only fix this by going back through to Mathalas. It is entirely possible I cast spirit song just as the whale-like creature pushed me through.

Ouch. I think you found another way to break the game (similar to the spirit form save and simultaneous move-and-switch problems fixed in 1.1.1). The best thing to do would be to go back to a previous save (you did save, right?  ) and avoid a repetition. Alec is very good at fixing these things, but it might be a headache updating the Ambrosia version. Anyway, your problem will be resolved. Hope you're enjoying the rest of the game!
