Aquaria is all black! =(
« on: May 15, 2010, 02:19:26 pm »
the game loads, then i see bitblot logo, and the next screen is all black i can see just the cursor and hear the bg music(that is amazing!) i can click some options and even start the game , but i just see a minimap and a cursor, the game seems to be working fine no fps breaks, but i cant see a thing.

I have searched the forum about this error, but did not find a solution that fits me, i have tried change vsync, fullscreen and those options but nothing happened, and my video card is updated.

its from steam humble budle pack , and other games seems to work fine but not Aquaria =/

i use a laptop my gfx card is a Mobile Intel 965 (its a crappy card  :'( could it be the problem?)

any idea?

There's currently an indie bundle on Steam (not the humble bundle though, which was Wolfire Games' idea), but it doesn't have Aquaria in it.

I'm just wondering whether this fellow has the Steam version or the version from the humble bundle. They are different.

I've got the same card, I had the same problem.

What had happened was, a few weeks ago I'd gone into the Intel control panel thing (accessed from an item on the desktop right click menu) and either turned down or disabled a bunch of graphical settings. Including, apparently, some that Aquaria needed.

What fixed it was opening the Intel control panel again, going to the advanced settings, and clicking a button that reset everything to default.
