so i'm in the turtle cave and jumping through some bubbles, when I spy a helmet just out of reach, is there some special boost move I need to reach it?  I just always seem to barely almost make it and it's driving me nuts. thanks

Always remember your food choices. Use your beast form's improved boost and a food that gives you Speed + 1 and you'll reach it no problem.

Yeah, speed boost and beast form does the job.

Although a word of warning, the item you get from there seems to save over the ceromonial costume you can get from the Cathedral (which is no big deal but is certainly a slightly irritating bug).

I have both costumes at the moment, though I did retrieve the costume from the Cathedral after getting the spiked helmet ... are you sure it overwrote it? They're in completely different spaces on my treasure wheel.

I'm pretty certain yeah. The helmet when in at the bottom right of page 2, which was right over where the ceremonial costume was.  I can soldier on without it though!

I'm in the same area, trying to reach the rather large bird/nest above the helmet bubble on the right wall.  Is it just scenery - is it a wasted effort trying to reach it?

It's not a wasted effort: rukh eggs (found in the nest) are used in the most powerful foods

That is not the only place you can find the Ruhk eggs in the Veil  keep looking
Oh and one more thing, if you have trouble jumping, try changing your mouse or giving your present one a really good clean inside and out

I could not manage the jumps very well at all with my old mouse, it took a lot of hard work dropping of and restarting. This time around I have a new mouse and now she jumps with ease
