how do you get to open waters

I feel like a total shmuck asking this but im not sure how to get to open waters ive got the entire map white which means ive been everywhere but i  cant  seem to get to open waters

plz help ive looked for days and still cant find it

Um, well, you've found the wall blocking your way that's lacking one of those white pearl-like things, right? Eastern part of the map.
Cave just below has the pearl you need.

Adding on to Align's post: Have you beaten the Energy Temple yet? If not, and you've still explored "everywhere," then check the Song Cave more thoroughly - there's an easy-ish puzzle within (a stone door that leads to the bind spell, which in turn, will allow you to remove the rock in front of the Energy Temple). [EDIT] Sorry Silver - forgot myself there. I had absolutely no problem with the puzzle, but forgot that others might have trouble.

Um! that is not that easy for some chibi, more than a few try to sing the song in the wrong place. Try singing it in front of the door tsukomi that will help you no end
