Cooking and the Verse
« on: March 25, 2008, 12:10:48 am »
After having completed Aquaria, being careful to get all the lost memories (AWESOME ENDING OMGAWD!), I decided to go for a new game just for memories sake. I noticed that, when you make the sea cake for the first time (any oil+any egg), a three note tune will play. I wanted to see what this sounded like in Naija's "verse menu", and I noticed that the symbols for the three notes vaguely resembled the actual ingredients!

I wonder if this is merely coincidence, though. I'm going to try out some other recipes soon.

I never thought to check that before...good call...of course we'll have to wait on Alec/Derek's say before we'll know for sure if it was a fluke.

I believe that anytime that you cook for the first time that it plays those tunes, maybe even some time after, at least in the beginning.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Well, a 3 note tune can't exactly be an oil and an egg, since what would the third note be?

Oh, and I think it's the same tune for all new recipies, but I could be wrong.

Good find, try out other ones and let us know if it's different.

The third note would of course be the new meal - cake in this case.

But I agree, I think it is the same for every new recipe. But who knows...

Well it's a good idea for a sequel, if it's ever made.
