I know this is a bit of a late reply, but I used beast form to kill them, along with the blaster pet and Li. The fight went pretty quick that way. I did have to heal myself a bit, but it was a lot easier than clicking the hell out of my mouse button... 
I beat the priests sort of late in the game, which probably helped since I had more health then, but the down side was that I forget where all the blue crystals are for where you need the spirit form. I'm trying to find them all now...
