A program to write .ogg files with is included in the cave story deluxe package. You'll easely find it via google.

I knew what you meant with body hair, but I have never downloaded this mod so I didn't make the connection.

I don't know much about modding, but I think that in order to make her bigger, sized like mia, her whole animation and collision scripts would have to be remade. I doubt it would be worth the work to make her look older just for a nudity mod.

Compared to Mia, and considering that she is at a fertile age, she probably is somewhere in the 12-15 range.

"(and is a contrast to Li who does have hair)"

What do you mean? Naija has more hair than Li. Li only has a small mohawk, while Naija has a full head of white hair.

I'm not talking about an adaptation. An adaptation would never work. Even if Alec and Derek would be directly in charge of everything it would never rise above being a cult film.

Why use naija's story for a movie? What about, for example, Krel and Ylia? Nobody knows anything about those two, except that the Krotites thought that Krel is a betrayer.* Or the Anassi? Were they in the middle of a race when they died out? Is their god chained up somewhere in the ruins, preventing him from joining the race? What about the other breeds? what happened to them when the creator died, or prior to the events in Aquaria?

I don't know about you guys, but I'm way more interested in seeing that than in seeing a 25 hour game compressed into 2.5 hour at most.

(*I imagine Krel to be a Krotite, because of his name, and if he was of any other race they would have called him an infidel rather than betrayer. Ylia is a friendly, nymf like name, something you'd expect from the Erulians. In a militaristic society like the Krotite's falling in love with an enemy is probably considered betrayal. Maybe they're the spirits in the crystals in the body?)

Modding / Re: Aquaria Editor Changes
« on: May 22, 2010, 11:34:46 pm »
I'd make it an out-game editor, like doombuilder is, and change the shortcuts to the more common ones, like Ctrl-c and Ctrl-v for copying stuff rather than shift-click or something. The layers could be easy tabs on the top of the screen. Alas, even simple stuff as lua is like portugese to me right now.

No, you silly thing, you didn't read the post and assumed I didn't know about the thing 75% of my posts so far are about.

There is a file in data, its called "ingredientdescriptions.txt". It contains the effects food can have, but I doubt changing them has effect. The words used for the effects in this file and in the ingredients file do not match perfectly. I have not tried adding to or changing them, so I cannot tell for sure.

5 pages!? For what? Every boss can be killed without using a single food item.

Freedom of choice is a great factor in Aquaria's succes. Forcing people to do a level or gauntlet in a forced certain way would take most fun out.

Oh lord that just screwed up my save game royally, good thing I made a backup.

I wonder if there's a way to get that working without starting a new game. >_<

What happened? I have several savegames with the most insane new ingredients and I had no problems at all.

Well it clearly seems it IS possible.

Could we perhaps see the working bacon as a file/mod?

Yeah... I can't do that. Its not really a file or script, its just a hack of the ingredients.txt file.

But if you want the bacon food ingame: Copy To your "Aquaria\GFX\Ingredients" folder and add the line "Bacon Bacon-1 Meat (+hp)" to the Ingredients.txt file in the "Aquaria\data" folder.

I was excited to see if it would work and drew that in 2 sec. without thinking. I could have drawn a whole herring pie masterpiece but that would have been a waste of timeif it didn't work.

Thats because it is bacon. You can add new ingredients just like you can make new recipes.

I added the line  "Bacon Bacon Meat (+hp)" to the ingredients file and then I put A new sprite named bacon in Aquaria/gfx/ingredients. The the underlined "Bacon" in "Bacon Bacon Meat (+hp)" is the sprite's name.

Thanks for the tip, its fun not having to search for either eggs or leaves all the time.

(Foodname, Sprite name, food type (meat, plant, etc)
