Okay so I'm either blind or an idiot - I totally didn't see the first note (the red tear) on the statue of the whale (it's at an angle to the other notes and kind of blends in)... but now you mentioned it, I can see it, and it works.

I'll go and hide in the corner now.  Thanks dhakkel.

Hi All,

Okay so I found a previous thread on this that was locked after only one reply, except the original problem was never answered, which is, essentially this:

I've found the room with the whale melody listed.  I've found the whale.  I've sung the melody to it... and nothing happens.

I've tried combinations of the notes, backwards, singing it in different places.. you name it.   Absolutely nothing happens except my clicky finger hurting.

Is there a particular spot you have to be in?  Is there another location I have to visit before trying the song?  I must have tried about a hundred times by now, and I'm getting a little frustrated.

Has anybody else experienced this?  If anybody wants to try with a save game of mine, they are welcome.

Heya all,

I'm Delphy.  You probably don't know me from such sites as Relicnews (the forums for Relic Entertainment, of Company of Heroes, Dawn of War and Homeworld 1 and 2 fame), or ModTheSims2 (one of the largest sims 2 modding sites on the planet).

I've modded a lot of games in my time, written tools and game engines and generally like innovative and inspirational things but I get bored easily.

I came here via the defcon site and blog, loved the trailer, and voila.

One of the things I loved about the trailer was actually the soundtrack - if this is indicative of whats going to be in game then great!  Also, I like the idea of using the voiceovers for much of the interaction elements - definately a good change there.   The girl sounded distinctly British to me.

Overall, it also make me register here and keenly looking forward to the game!

As a recent Wii owner and having also a bluetooth dongle for my PC, I can see how this game would be amazing with the motion control scheme.  It looks incredible.

GlovePIE and the scripts are very easy to write so I'm sure somebody will have one done in a couple of days of when Aquaria gets released   (or maybe I'll do one )
