Support / Re: How to Download the Latest Version: 1.1.1
« on: April 07, 2009, 07:25:24 am »
You can play offline games in Steam without a Internet connection, you just have to load up the games you wish to play offline while you're still connected, before enabling offline mode. Then, when you're actually offline, the games will load up fine and will not throw you an error message.

Stupid and roundabout, I know. I think Steam needs to download something to the effect of a validation key or some such, which is retained for games that have been loaded during the current instance of the program and stored when offline mode is enabled, so it can still verify the game data. Why Valve don't have Steam do this while it signs in, I don't know. It'd make offline mode less of a PITA.

I love the Insomniac Spyro titles (the first three ;)). I could never get into the later titles. *shrug*

I'd happily purchase the game again if it was to show up on Steam, even though I'd be paying a fair bit more (relatively speaking, of course - I believe an Aussie dollar was buying US 87c when the game was released).

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. :) Oh, and I dealt with the octopus some time ago, but thanks. ;)

Gameplay / Best areas for stockpiling food/heal items?
« on: June 18, 2008, 09:57:33 am »
Sorry if this has been brought up before, but can anyone recommend the best areas for stockpiling food/healing items (or ingredients for such)? I've just reached the Creator and have virtually nothing that'll give a decent boost to my health. I don't mind having to run around for hours, as long as it gets the job done. :P

Cheers.

Are you using onboard sound? Virtually every motherboard with onboard sound released in the past few years or so will sport a "HD"/"Hi-Def" chipset. There's a hotfix you need to install for Windows to recognise such onboard sound devices. I'll happily run you through the process. :)

Okay. I've been trying to locate the Jelly Egg treasure for a little while now, and I can't seem to find it. I've searched both boss areas of the Kelp Forest, but have still yet to stumble upon it. I'm most likely missing something darn obvious, but can anyone be kind enough as to quickly take a screenshot of where it should be? :)
