Gameplay / Where to go?

I really love the game thusfar, but I am err... kinda confused. After I left the home area and ventured into Open Waters, my first thoughts were: "OMG! Where to go now?" After that I explored a bit and I've been through 6 areas but I don't have the slightest idea which area I need to explore first. Any general directions please?

I bought a copy for myself today, then immediately went back and bought a copy as a gift for my cousin. The first purchase went through just fine, but the second one was flagged for some reason so I'm still waiting for plimus to call me back to do whatever it is they need to do to process the order. Hopefully they get back to me before monday.

Yeah, had that too with another game. The fact is, Plimus checks every order you place and if you place the same order twice they think you placed it by accident. Just send them an email with your order number and tell them that you meant to purchase it twice.

Games / Re: Making my own video game: Where to start?

Sorry for bumping this topic but I'm struggling with the same problem:  Where do I start?
I already have a (very) basic understanding of BASIC languages and some scripting languages.
The main problem is, I'm really terrible at making art, does anyone want to give me some directions?
For example, which programs can I use best? Do I need a painting tablet? With what kind of art should I start?
