Support / *Spoiler* Bug with eagle door and gamepad
« on: December 25, 2007, 08:38:28 am »
This bug caused me about 4-6 hours of frustration (but resulted in me finding all the eggs and lost memories, so eh). When you go to the eagle door with the gamepad and you have Li, you *cannot* select the door to open it with the gamepad. Thinking there was some piece of the puzzle I was missing I just wandered around looking for stuff. Turns out you need to use a mouse to click on the door.

This doesn't appear to have been fixed in 1.0.3. I had hoped this would be an easy fix  :-[

Yeah, I had this same issue. I'm using the 360 controller under wine and for whatever reason the Y axis for the aiming stick was flipped. Supposedly jscalibrate lets you flip axes, but that didn't seem to help. I ended up having to edit the source code for the controller driver to flip the axis (wee! :P).

Except when stationary you can use the mouse to direct the beam and look at things. With the gamepad you can't.

Also I just noticed (as I just got the form) that in the sun form you can't direct the beam with the aiming stick. This is probably the same issue.

Support / Aiming with gamepad in beast form broken

I'm using an xbox 360 gamepad to play Aquaria and when in beast form I can't aim with the right stick. It works in the energy form but in beast form I can only fire in the direction that I'm moving and if I'm stationary the projectiles just appear on my face and don't move. Aiming works properly with the mouse so I'm assuming its a gamepad issue.

In case its relevant, I've tried it both in windows and in linux through wine, exact same problem both times.

Edit:
I've also noticed that if I try to use something (usually a save point) I end up firing off a shot too.

Support / Installing on windows and linux

Sorry if this has been duplicated somewhere, but a search for "linux" didn't seem to help. I played through the demo in wine and then bought the full version. I installed it on windows and registered, then tried to play that install through wine on linux (this is the same thing that I did with the demo). It asked me to register again, but this time the fields just went blank when I attempted to. Is this just the copy protection being crazy or is there something up with registering through wine?
