Team Fortess 2 is the funnest multiplayer game to be had in a while and HL Episode 2 is the best one in the series so far.  Couple those 2 with Portal the most original puzzle/fps game so far and that alone makes Orange Box worth every penny and a fantastic package.  Throw in one of the greatest games ever made HL 2 and a great first entry in the episode series you get something that deserves awards.

These are my top 10 of 2007:

Super Mario Galaxy
Call of Duty 4
Bioshock
The Orange Box
Mass Effect
TLOZ:  Phantom Hourglass
Metroid Prime 3
Crysis
Uncharted Drake's Fortune
Ratchet and Clank Future

Indie game of the year is Aquaria
Best game no one played is Zack and Wicki for the Wii

I ran out of room on my 10 list so had to make some individual awards.  I thought Okami came out last year so I'm not sure why it is on this list.  Sega used to be a viable company but they have gone downhill and this newest Nights game is nowhere near as good as the original.

Games / 10 best games of 2007

No doubt many web sites and game magazines are compiling their own top 10 games of the year so I figured to start one here.
These are mine:

1. Super Mario Galaxy
2. The Orange Box
3. Bioshock
4. Call of Duty 4
5. Mass Effect
6. Aquaria
7. Zelda Phantom Hourglass
8. Ratchet and Clank Future
9. Metroid Prime 3
10. Crysis and Uncharted Drakes Fortune (tie)

Most underrated game of the year is Zack and Wiki for the Wii. It's selling terribly which is unfortunate because it's a wonderful game.

You can adjust how the aiming is in the options.  You can have the crosshairs always pointing up so the screen swivels or you can have the crosshairs move but the screen stays stationary unless you move the mouse to the right or left part of the screen to turn.

np, it's kind of like a sci-fi gauntlet, really cool.  Lets hope EA doesn't gobble them up hehe.  :)

I didn't know this was an independent game company until I checked out their website at http://www.frozenbyte.com/.  Their first commercial game Shadowgrounds and its sequel Shadowgrounds Survivor are pretty cool.  You can get them through Valves Steam service and if you buy them both it's only 24.95.  More support for the independent gaming community.

I think many widescreen LCD's have only one native resolution.  If it's the only resolution then anything 4:3 will be stretched.

np, having a widescreen monitor makes it tough for me to play a game in regular screen hehe.

I changed the resolution in the init CFG file for the game.  The top left hand numbers are the resolution.  Now keep in mind I think this is stretching the graphics not actually making it widescreen.  It still looks great though.

Yay I got the game and love it, great job guys.  I found that 1920 by 1200 resolution works great even if there is no official widescreen support yet.
