Perhaps you could use a regular expression search on your scripts? make it search for uppercase characters within strings/quotes? that might help the process.

Well, that is very demanding of you. It takes time and effort to port a game to another platform. It takes time and effort to market it to that platform. Time is money, and the companies that sell the games for other platforms deserve to be compensated for their work. For instance, while Bit-Blot is writing Aquaria, I am sure that ASW is doing some work to help port the game to the Mac. If you bought the Windows version of Aquaria from Bit-Blot, should Ambrosia be forced to pay to support you using the Mac version? If you bought the Mac version from ASW, should Bit-Blot be forced to pay to support you if you mess up with the Windows version?Thank you for the reasonable and logically backed up answer, xander. However, I don't feel it would be such a hit to Bit Blot's bottom line as you make it out to be. I know Gish from Chronic Logic allowed you to run the game from any of the three platforms after purchasing your registration key, and that game ended up making good money. And I expect Aquaria to make even better money than Gish.
Anyway, if you buy MS Word for Windows, do you expect to get the Mac version, as well? How about PhotoShop? World of Warcraft? While it happens in some cases, it is uncommon for companies to sell a single version of software for all platforms.
wtf Toom? This isn't consoles we're talking about. Maybe you think it's crazy to want the PC version to mean PCs on all OSes, but I don't.I bought Soul Caliber for PS2. Will I be able to claim free copies of the Dreamcast, GameCube and XBox versions?
Nice news on the Mac front (I'm more of a Linux guy myself).I'm a bit of a Linux guy myself. If you were able to port it to Mac OS X, would it possible to port it to Linux as well?
