Right outside the entrance to the sunken city (not the gate Li has to open, but the city proper) is a box containing three leaves.  It's right by the exit of the room, so you can easily farm it, and doesn't require killing anything.  Really fast to fill up on leaves, then leaf poultices, then rolls (if you have a lot of fish meat, which you probably do), then veggy soup (if you have a bunch of hot soup).

That's actually pretty cool, and makes sense in retrospect.  I wonder if there'd be a better way to explain the technique though... the commentary for Valve's "Portal" has made me think differently about game design in general.

Verses?  They're sort of split up into two groups of three, I'll grant, but playing them separately doesn't help.  Playing the 2nd half backwards doesn't help either.

I've led the boy through what I think are all his trials, but he's crying at this door now.  There's a song printed above him, but no matter how many times I play it, nothing happens.  I've tried playing it backwards too, but that doesn't seem to help.  Besides, the background music sort of sounds like the song I'm supposed to play anyway, so I'm sure it's the right song.  Just... nothing is happening.  Playing it while a the door?  Nothing.  Kneeling by the child?  Nothing.  At the notes themselves?  Nothing.

Just a thought, but wouldn't making a guide like this be easier on a wiki?  There's one for game strategy guides, like gamefaqs, at: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

Although, to be honest, I'm not sure how I'd start making a page there.  I'm better at editing existing pages on a wiki, not setting up the initial organization...

The one behind the pearl orb is optional anyway.  Getting the pearl involves learning a song that doesn't show up on your character sheet, written on a tablet somewhere.

I just got Li.  Unfortunately, it was a bit anti-climactic when I did so, as I had seen Li ages before I got him, but couldn't figure out how to do anything with him.  I couldn't right click on him, and he wouldn't talk to me... or so I thought.  I just gave it up as an easter egg after a while.  It was only after reading some spoilers on the gameplay forum that I realized it was possible to get him as a companion, and then it too way too much fiddling to "corner him".

By that time, it no longer felt cute and romantic.  If I had done this when I'd first seem him swimming in the veil, it would have been awesome, but I feel like it's too late for that same emotional feeling now.  The problem I had was that I could easily catch up to him in his cave, and he wasn't -obviously- running away from me.  Thus, it looked more like he was ignoring me than anything else!  Hence my ignoring him back.  The magic is gone.

Hence, I'd like to suggest a simple thing that would make it more obvious that you need to chase him down.  Allow Naija to right-click activate him if she gets close enough, but make this cause him to dash away.  That would have made me more intruiged, since he'd no longer be ignoring me, and thus I'd be interested it chasing him down.

Please?  This game is too good otherwise!

The giant turtle has an egg beneath him.  It's just a cosmetic treasure though, as far as I know.

What, with beast form?  Biting it in the mouth doesn't seem to be doing anything either... I hear a bite noise, but then I get hurt.  In the beak, in the eye, in the tentacle... doesn't matter.  I get hurt, and then I die after using up all my healing stuff.  And having to switch to sun form frequently doesn't help either.
