Just finished it yesterday. Was a bit confused by the end of the story, but that last sequence was awesome!

Definitely going to try and beat the speed run challenge time sometime soon. :D

Copy/Paste from the official site:

"War is everywhere in Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning™ (WAR), the new fantasy MMORPG from Mythic Entertainment, the creators of Dark Age of Camelot™. WAR features next generation Realm vs. Realm™ gameplay that will immerse you in a world of perpetual conflict for years to come.

Experience the glory of Realm vs. Realm! Declare your allegiance and join hundreds of thousands of mighty heroes on the battlefields of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning to experience the epic nature of war. Enter a grim fantasy world where the armies of Order (Dwarfs, High Elves, and Empire) and Destruction (Greenskins, Dark Elves, and Chaos) collide to determine the fate of nations. Invade enemy lands, besiege imposing fortresses, and sack sprawling capital cities for the glory of your Realm. Wield devastating magic and deadly weapons, battle monstrous creatures, and join your brothers-in-arms in epic Public Quests™. Climb the Bastion Stair, carry your Guild Banner into battle, and unlock the secrets of the Tome of Knowledge as you travel the world. Sharpen your blade and prepare to unleash your inner mutation-the Age of Reckoning has begun and WAR IS EVERYWHERE!"

Anyone else excited for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning...aka WAR!

I got into the Closed Beta a couple days ago. I'll discuss more when the NDA hopefully goes down tomorrow. Was just wondering if anyone else here plans on playing it. :)

People need to chill out. If you're a true fan of the series then embrace the creativity of the developer and allow them to create a game that they feel is a worthy sequel.

Personally I think the new visual style is fine.

Bought Braid this morning. Sooo badass.

Just another reason Aquaria should be up on XBLA competing with it. ;)

Off-Topic / Clinton, Obama, or McCain?
« on: February 11, 2008, 04:28:47 am »
Yeah. I decided to start a topic about the US elections. There's no reason we can't do this in a civilized manner. :P

I just wanted to know who the members here think would be the best choice for the next president of the United States.

You don't have to be a US citizen. Anyone is free to express their opinon. (in a sensible and non-inflammatory way)

Personally, I think Obama is the best choice. Not Hillary Clinton, and definitely not McCain.

Your turn.  ;)

I think this depicted Hilary quite well:

Games / Re: Skate.

I think that's the beauty of Skate. Because of the analog "flick-trick" controls every trick you pull off feels like you've actually done something and it takes skill to pull off impressive lines. Tony Hawk games got old quickly with the button mashing and the overall ridiculousness of the tricks. I urge anyone who has a 360 or PS3 to definitely check out the Skate. demo.

Does anyone here play Skate.? I never thought I'd buy a skateboard game but after playing the Xbox 360 demo I was hooked. You can literally skate around for hours and find loads of different spots to do tricks. I was also wondering if those of you who have the game want to share some of your uploaded videos or pictures? I'll gladly rate them.

Check out mine:

I try to do things on the humourous side. :P

Meh, 100K would cover the costs of development for a game like Aquaria...but what about the livelihoods of those who developed it? What sort of profit would they be making? Not much, and that's why the incentive for independant developers to produce new games seems fairly low.

Off-Topic / Re: What books are you reading these days?
« on: December 23, 2007, 08:47:57 am »
Haha, yeah, Nadsat. It's really an English-Russian construction, so not entirely invented.

Yeah, actually I got used to it super quickly and it makes reading it a lot more engaging. Keeps ya focussed. ;)

Perhaps I'll take a few pics of my room sometime.
