Be accepting of each other
Treat others with respect

Hardly ever happens in these kinds of discussions. Sadly, that is. ;)

There's nothing wrong with a little healthy debating! Just make sure everyone counts to ten before posting. And besides, I doubt that Bush wil come over here and have his feelings hurt by the Aquaria forum, so it's okay ;)
Hah, you won't believe how touchy otherwise cool people can get when it gets to topics like religion or politics.

True, that's why I have chloroform ;)

I presume that discussions about controversial topics is also discouraged? Stuff like energy policy, adoration, religion, the Middle East, George Bush, Iraq, creationism, global warming, George Bush, etc. I know from experience that those kind of treads get nasty very, very quickly as people give very big emotional detachments to these topics.

Regretably I actually sent an angry email to Bit-Blot because Id paid for Aquaria and then couldn't download it. An alternate link was provided almost immediately which had me blushing and wishing I could unsend my email ;)

I've sent several e-mails out to various indy game makers with compliments/comments (when they were very little known), questions(game problems/bad glitches), or... Can't remember the other one. Either way, they all replied by the next day and were way too kind, it's a nice change from the hotlines or websites like EA.

This could be bad, considering that the censors only work for words that have been spelled/typed :p

But the armour is so pretty! So says Alpha, even :p

I'm still in those days, and will be for a while. It's rather hysterical, going from FEAR multiplayer, or even NWN multi at a lan, then going WAY back to Quake 3 or 2 and running around like mad idiots. I didn't even know that the earlier GTA games had a multiplayer option! Rockstar has turned GTA 1 and 2 into freeware, so I'll have to download it and check it out, but this week we're doing another LAN, I'll definitely make everyone at least try a round or three :D

I guess what I meant is that I prefer the FPS shooting style than the third person. Other than that, kudos!

A somewhat similar game to this, and I mean similar as in third person shooter with armour and different guns that has pretty good graphics for the time, is  Alien Shooter. Just a suggestion to anyone who feels like playing with mindless violence at the god awful hours of morning. ^-^

I agree with BR. In WoW and so many other MMO's, people who grind the most come off more like they have no life (sorry guys :p) There are a number of little roleplaying communities that have a 3D interface (I'm not talking about IMVU, but more like Furcadia). I have been dying to get my hands on a copy of Baldur's Gate, and am currently trying out Planescape: Torment (Which is just awesome). Neverwinter Nights was cool to look at, but I honestly wasn't too fond of it in comparison to it's older brothers and sisters. The only time I tried playing it multiplayer was at my friend's house and we all ended up nearly dying of laughter when her brother's mod went rampant. Just IMO :P

Thanks for the recommendations tiamax! I actually read Apathy and Other Small Victories back in September and I found it hilarious. I literally had to bite might lip when reading in public places so I didn't run the risk of bursting out laughing every couple of minutes and looking crazy. :P

The first time I read it, I checked it out from our campus library. It still had the pink slip on the cover, and as I read the first pages walking back toward the dorms, I burst out laughing. My friend stopped in front of me on the way to her chemistry class, I looked up and she had the funniest look on her face from my outburst.

Better than I could do, but that's not saying... anything. Congratulations for growing in experience, but yeah... The promotion you're giving it is ++ungood.  ???

Heh, I've played the demo for shadowgrounds before, very fun little game, didn't like the aiming system very much, but other than that it was quite a bit of fun, definitely recommend it despite some of the little quirks. I agree about the EA :P
