Thanks for the answers, I may have to try the corruption idea as it would be quite useful for demon names.

General / How did you decide on your character or place names?
« on: December 19, 2007, 08:20:13 pm »
I've always wondered how game developers come up with the names of their characters and places. Anything I try to write be it just a story or game script get stuck because I can't figure out how I should go about naming them. I've always felt the names should have some meaning behind them in regards to their situation or purpose. So what made you choose the names you went with. Thank you for any answer you may give.

I had GG but couldn't bring myself to finish it, the story was great, though it reminded me of the movie groundhog day. But the game play, was horrible. 2d RTS may be possible but this one just didn't work.

Not quite sure what you did but so far that patch seems to be working for me at least.
Thank you.

while some one has already mentioned the vampire squid the pic kinda sucked here's a decent video of them. While not dangerous they are creepy little bastards.

Support / 2007.12.07 Full Version Patch - Fixes Start Problem
« on: December 08, 2007, 03:55:56 am »
I just installed the game which went through just fine started the game up once and found it kinda dark so I exited and checked the config file to see if the buffer was the cause. I started up the game again and i can't get in it keeps giving me a "Error: Access Violation at 0x011bb51 (tried to write to 0x4DBAC10), program terminated" Error. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice and keep getting the same error. any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

ALEC: "Here is the fix: http://bit-blot.com/files/aquaria_full_patch.zip Thanks guys!"

To use this patch, extract "aquaria.exe" and overwrite the old "c:\program files\aquaria\aquaria.exe". (note: if you installed the game to another directory, the path will be different)
