I'm in the same area, trying to reach the rather large bird/nest above the helmet bubble on the right wall.  Is it just scenery - is it a wasted effort trying to reach it?

In reference to the original question.. Creatures that act like lights, and the utilization of them...

All this talk of the veil etc. is right over my head thus far, but I've been through most of the Abyss simply by singing to reactant creatures.

You meant to say "360 degree frame by frame animation", didn't you? xD

Sorry Stalfos, I may not have been clear. I was refering to how 8 directions of full character frame animated movement wouldn't be as good as the 360 degrees of movement the Aquaria animation style allows. :)

I may not have depth of knowledge when it comes to 2D animation, but to me this looks like some of the best executed animation of this type. The sterotypical character frame by frame animation seen in other games just doesn't seem like it would've been suitable or even capable of properly representing the plethora of movements available to Naija.

Imagine Aquaria with only 8 directions of typically animated movement... *shudders*.
