Modding / Re: Aquaria: Sacrifice v1.04

Glad to see this thread still alive and kicking.  Between my work schedule and Japanese studies I've had rather little time for gaming lately, and what little I've had has been sucked up by my friends and their furious copies of Borderlands.  Wish I had more time to continue helping with this.  Though if my job keeps up the way it has been, I might just quit rather than allow myself to go completely insane, in which case....

Haven't stopped by in a while lately, but heard about this and got really happy.  So glad to see this finally happened!  Congrats, Alec.  It must be gratifying to see such a gorgeous package come together.  I'll be watching via cam for sure and will hopefully manage to order a copy or three for some friends, as well as my own!  All of us have loved the game and would dearly like to own a physical piece of it.

I think it's a fantastic idea.  Somebody who actually knows how to do this stuff should totally do it.  Sadly, that is not I.

Just wanted to offer a gigantic congrats, TheBear.  I'm really excited to finally get to play through this in the final form, and I really think you've done something special.  I hope I managed to add a little something to it as well... it was great to have the chance to work on it with you, and maybe even continue to work on it with you if you add more stuff.   ;)

Will spread the word around about the release.  I know several folks who will be glad to know it's finally out!

I really dig the dialogue trees.  This mod is really slick.  I think you guys will get a real kick out of it... I'm looking forward to having the final version in my hands!

I too would love to see more mods.  I don't have time to play them, but lots of people do, and Aquaria has such wonderful tools, they really need to see more use.  If I actually had the time, I'd make a few levels myself.  As it is, it's all I can do to help edit the Sacrifice script... but at least I can say I'm doing something!

How it is that I started to go do that and ended up on the forums is beyond me.  Damn the magical procrastination fairies.

That was surprisingly awesome.  I rather enjoyed that.  Nice to see all the work that goes into something.

That trailer blows my mind.  I had been looking forward to this until seeing that, and then I about had to stab out my eyes for fear of the visuals making my brain melt.  I'm really eager to get my hands on it.

Can't wait to play this.  I've been diligently plugging away at the script (at least what passes for my attempts at diligence...), and I think there's some pretty fantastic stuff here.  Hope you guys are getting excited.

You must not have played very many games in your 20 years.

If you don't like it, don't play it.  Why come here to complain about it?

Damn, I miss this game.  So epic.  Hard as hell, but so much fun.

Spelunky kicks my ass, too.  Does Derek just like to make us cry?

Great to see progress here.  Sorry I haven't been around too much, but I'm still available if you're ever in need of written assistance.  Your work is still looking awesome!

Congratulations on your graduation, too.  Nothing better than finishing off school.

Crap, I took it for granted this was hitting PC.  Why did I do that?  If it turns out to be an XBLA exclusive, I'll kill myself.

I would totally post some stuff if I wasn't dead tired and about to hit the sack.  I'll try to remember to come back...

This game does indeed look fantastic.  I also discovered these guys also made the kickass Lock's Quest for DS, which I never heard of until quite a while after it released.  Turns out it's a really good game and quite underrated.  Hopefully this game turns out to be a breakthrough for them and somebody actually gives it some press.
