So what are achievements, and what do they do?

Yay. :)

Also features 27 achievements with new art by Derek.

Is this something related to Steam, or is it in the new Mac and PC version as well?

 O0
I think this is a proportion of chances of it not happening to chances of it happening.

Hm.  I'm sure my imagination is just getting the better of me again, but...

What if Alec's gathering user save files to create a demo of Naija swimming around in various areas of the game for when you let the menue screen sit for a while!

Nah, no way. ;)

Ambrosia's past two 2D scrollers have been put in the action category, so I'm sure they'll do the same for Aquaria.

Though, Alec, I would also suggest you ask them to put up a link to an add-ons page on Aquaria's profile page.  This would be greatly appreciated! :D

 ???

A gravedig is when someone posts in an old topic and brings it to the top of the topics list. Johnny Boy (who I know) posted this topic back in March 2007. That's why I said to check the dates. That's also why it's called a gravedig, digging up a grave (old topic).

This looks very interesting. It would be weird if this new game involved dragoons and lances..

I find it funny that a new game is underway when the mac version of Aquaria hasn't been released. Alec is really full of inspiration!

Hm, when will a forum be open for this new company?

And Twojacks thank you for the links I've just been watching different videos of that game and I know someone who might like to play it, if he already hasn't but not me it looks like a lot of crazy button work is needed for it  ::)
Square button: Sword, R1 button: Hold/grab onto, Circle button: Draw the light, Triangle: Jump, Left analog stick: Move, D-pad: change weapon.

It's really quite simple, the hard part is getting to the colossi and their vitals.

I feel the same way about all of the above. Most of the writing in this thread makes me inspired to make my own game.

I've had lots of ideas floating around in my head, too many. I need an artist.  :P

Like it's been said, these games are very hard to come by. I recently purchased a little game called, Shadow of the Colossus, dear lord! Not only are you able to explore and area hlaf the size of a continent but the enemies in the game are (almost) all thirty stories high. It also has one of the best game soundtracks I've ever heard (don't worry Alec, I haven't been able to play Aquaria yet).  If you ever choose to own a PS2, it's a must.

Sadly, the soundtrack was never released in America, here's a link to the album and two of my favorite tracks:

For now I'll have to keep editing my Ferazel's Wand level set, and wait to create my own Aquaria world. :D
